Spring and autumn are the wettest seasons, while summer is Mediterranean in nature, thus dry but interrupted by intense thunderstorms, especially in August. In winter temperatures are less severe than in the surrounding areas and precipitation is rather low, while fog manages to invade the lower lake only on a few occasions.
